Weakness: Need to spend a little time to do some adjustment to get optimum colour and contrast. The "auto" button doesn't adjust everything. This is my second one for my daughter mine is 710N. It looks like to me exactly same except for round shape stand and manufactured country mine is in China and this from Mexico. It has great quality, fast, bright and clear. Strongly recommend!!

It is available at a good price, and mine had no always-off or always-on pixels. It's relatively light too, and easy to reposition (very sensible base). Plus: a well-known company who (unlike most) make their own LCD screens. Excellent.

The monitor is great for everyday use and especially if you also play first person shooters. The ghosting is hardly noticed with the 12ms response time when playing some of the newest titles like Doom 3. Would recommend this monitor for anyone who Games. Get the 710T model if you want both VGA and DVI connectors. Check the response time for the Samsun 710 line as not all of them have the 12ms...

Samsung SyncMaster 710N-Black 17" LCD MonitorStrengths: Great picture quality, no ghosting, very bright, easy to setup, and the auto adjust feature is superb! Weakness: When switching from the windows desktop screen to media center, a black border appears around the screen in media center, but other than that, none! If you are looking for a fast, bright, and clear LCD monitor this is your best bet. It is really inexpensive with the Samsung rebate. I asked my cousin who works for a major electronics chain, and he suggested Samsung monitors, so I bought one. I would by a Samsung LCD again if I need one. This is a great product!

So far, I am very satisfied by its quality. I am not very sure 17" is big enough for future use. But comared with 19", this one is really a bargin. Let me wait and see for a little bit longer. Strengths: Bright vivid display. On desktop controll (no need to push buttons on monitor). Gamma correction program.
Weakness: Dead pixel policy: 10 or more to be defective.
I brought one last month and used it for at least 20 days. It run well for games and word processing. It renders vivid color for game screens and rapid refresh rate makes no ghosting for BF1942 and CS. Contrast is quite good and the LCD panel looks BLACK when turned off (not like other cheap gray ones). It provides a program to tune Gamma to fit your eyes, making the picture more deep and crispy....
