ASUS ARCTIC SQUARE
Strengths: Very sturdy design. Tensioning clips hold cooler securely to CPU socket base. CPU stays at nearly constant 39deg C running at 3GHZ CPU frequency (ASUS AI Suite).
Weakness: Too large to fit freely inside a mid-size. More for the ubercase crowd with the spacious interiors.
ASUS definitely designed this cooler for the yorkfield and newer P35-chipset-based CPUs. However, cooler came out-of-the box with no heat-sink compound. Extra 7 bucks their. Guess ASUS figures I can afford it after coughing up 25+ bucks for the cooler. Cooler worked good on their P5KC ASUS P35 chippy mobo though.
