Not best but better than other point and shoot cams!Strengths: Slim design, SD and XD card support, 12mp CCD sensor, small packing Weakness: Noisy beyond ISO400-800, ISO6400 is not usable at all, a little bit pricey, and battery life. I've placed this one after my f31fd got stolen. F50FD has very slim design, and technologies but not usable in practical life. Start-up time of the camera is quite fast. Image quality is great in bright sun light. Not as good as f31fd in dim light.

Unreliable and bad after-sales serviceStrengths: Small, light, good menu, good colors in well-lit conditions. Weakness: Broke down after two weeks of moderate use (stopped focusing).
