Nice UpgradeStrengths: Easy-to-use interface. Intuitive. Weakness: Slow start-up time. I recently upgraded PC to Vista and, like everyone else, I was surprised to realize that I needed to upgrade all my software. This upgrade was relatively painless, though. This newest version of Photoshop Elements is quite similar to my previous 3.0 version. I am not a photo software expert. I purchased this primarily to enable loading my photos on my iPod. This program does fine in that respect...

Adobe Photoshop 6Strengths: Best photo software in its category Weakness: lacks user manual It is my first photo software and it seems to have about everything a home user would need and then some. However, since it is not really intuitive a user manual should have been included. Learning curve is quite steep. A separate manual beefs up the price by about 20-30 dollars, depending upon the place of purchase.

Adobe Makes It Simple!Strengths: Highly intuitive, easy to use. Weakness: None so far. I am a novice at photo editing and this software is packed with features which could have been pretty intimidating, but as usual Adobe finds a great balance. If all you want to do is crop and re-size, it is easy to do. If you are interested in a full-feature product that can allow you to manipulate a photo just about any way you can think of, this is your product too! Very happy with it.

Best consumer photoediting softwareStrengths: Has all the commonly used features for a digital photo enthusiast. Adobe generally releases decent software--not using the customers as beta testers. Weakness: Nothing I can think of. I have been a photoshop user for over 10 years. I bought the new version to replace version 4.0, which has served me well. Even though the word element might implie a "lite" version, it has all the functionalities for pretty serious digital photo editing, great value for the price.

PS elements 6 has come a loooong way!Strengths: easy, user-friendly, intuitive design Weakness: no guide or manual included This was an upgrade from Photoshop elements 2.0 for me. I did not use the previous version much because it was very time consuming and not intuitive. I used it mainly to get rid of spots on my lens and other minor adjustments. This version has easy to use features called "quick" and "guided" fixes. You just click a button and it makes the adjustments automatically.

Photoshop Elements 6Strengths: Three skill levels for editing, from quick and easy to fully advanced, all very easy to use. Adequate help files. Weakness: I haven't found any yet. Having upgraded from Elements 2 to Elements 6, I am totally pleased with the new features. I especially like the new layout and the new, dark gray window makes the photos really stand out rather than having to compete with the brightness of a white background.

Very good programStrengths: Easy to use Excellent interface Does what I need it to do Weakness: None at this time I had been using some other software to do phot retouching. In fact, I had been using 3 different programs. None of them could do everything I wanted, but they were reliable, cheap/free, worked fine. I started to get more serious about my photography recently, so I decided to upgrade to a more modern program. Photoshop itself is a great program, but too complex for me at this time. The Elements...

Photoshop Elements 6Strengths: Powerful editing, organizing, and sharing software, with many of the photo editing capabilities of the much more expensive CS3. Weakness: none I downloaded the 30 day free trial from Adobe to see what I thought of this software. It did not disappoint me. I would highly recommend this software to anyone using a digital camera, and looking to get more out of their photographs. Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 is easy enough for a novice to use, while still being powerful enough for advanced amateurs and budding professionals. I am loving it...

Cosmetic upgrade from earlier versionsStrengths: Comes close to actual Photoshop in its power; more than enough for a serious amateur Weakness: Crammed with features that you will never learn to master unless you get some actual teaching I like the charcoal-colored background when in "light table" mode, but beyond that cosmetic change, I don't see any earth-shaking feature upgrade compared to version 5. Still the most full-featured, widely supported and affordable alternative to Photoshop proper.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 Review
For keen photographers on a shoestring budget, Photoshop Elements 6 is the latest version of Adobe's popular entry-level image editor. New features include the Guided Edit mode, which helps walk users through the steps of improving a photo, and Photomerge, which combines facial expressions from a series of shots to create a single cohesive group shot. Photoshop Elements 6 for Windows costs £70 /... TopAdvertisement

Photoshop Elements is way to go!
Strengths: User friendly interface and easy of use.
Weakness: Lack of ready made templates.
I have been using Photoshop Elements for 2 years and it was the best experience I ever had. Today Adobe released a lot of additional software which can boost it with even more features. So I can tell that I am a happy customer!
