Overall, a good camera from Fuji if you're on a budget and wish to have an excellent digital camera with nothing but quality....then you have arrived. The Fuji FinePix2800Z is an awesome camera. Under $300....you can't beat it.

I'm rally happy with this camera...

Strengths: For being my first webcam purchase, i'm quite happy with it. it produces a greater image than i thought it would, and it has a high zoom factor.

Weakness: no aud/vid out, no assist lamp for AF, LCD a bit dark

I'm rally happy with this camera as my first purchase, and i got it for a decent price too, about $250. or, i at least thought it was a decent price. it is a lower megapixel entry level camera, but i found all of the photos i took to be nearly flawless unless i was shakey myself. i wasn't too happy about not have lamp assisted AF, but i'm also used to using a Nikon Pronea S SLR camera, which has all that stuff on it. overall, for a first purchase, i'm pleased. sure it has it's downfalls, but unless you want to spend a mint on a camera, it's going to have downfalls. i'm totally pleased with it thus far, and would recomend it to anyone looking for a good starter camera, or even beyond that.

Was able to understand without reading instructions. I thought batery life wasnt bad at all. Strengths: Excellent picture quality. Ease of use.

Weakness: LCD display is a little dark when taking pictures. Eats up regular batteries.

I bought this camera last christmas after many hours of research. DCResource was a big help. I also spent some time surfing around to find the best price, and I got it for $299, which back at that time was pretty good. I really don't touch the settings except for flash and picture quality. I actually like the electronic viewfinder. What you see is what you actually get. Nothing is cut out. It's really hard to get a bad picture. The LCD is dark in lower light situations, but the EVF is a little better. Yet the LCD does light up quite well when reviewing photos you have taken. I have taken pictures in the dead of night, and they have turned out just fine without any adjustments to the settings. One time I zoomed in on a number of birds in flight, and the picture turned out great. There wasn't any blurring. Sunset photo's turned out great as well. If I could put some of my pictures on here I would. I took a few of my dog from approx. 10 feet away, and you can zoom in on the finished photo and actually see the idividual details of his hairs. The auto-focus works perfectly. The only real gripe I have is the battery life. You really need some good rechargable batteries. But other than that, I am extremely satisfied with this camera. It takes pictures far superior to any I have taken using a 35mm camera. You can't go wrong with a 2.1 meg camera that is rated higher than many 3+ meg's. I am just an amateur photographer, but you don't have to be a professional to see the difference.

The camera does take a good...

Strengths: takes good pictures, video with sound feature- cannot find another camera with the video/sound in this price range. Lightweight. Zoom is great!

Weakness: The LCD and viewfinder stink! Only works well in outdoor situations with a lot of light.

The camera does take a good picture. The Lcd AND viewfinder are so dark in low light situations, you cannot even see what you are trying to take a picture of. I sent it back after only 1 day due to this problem.
