Wii Zapper + Zelda = Goodness

Strengths: Very easy to use and makes targeting objects much easier then holding the Wii remote alone. The Zelda game is well worth it if you are a Zelda fan. It takes you back to many places in TP.

Weakness: Wrapping up the Nunchuck and holding it in some games can be uncomfortable. The length of the game could be done in an hour if you want.

The Wii Zapper is a hard molded plastic that fits your Wii remote and Wii Nunchuck firmly. This makes it easy for those to target the objects in the game much easier then holding the remote alone. The Zelda game consists of 9 stages with each stage having 3 rounds. Like Wii Sports they award Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Medallions. It might be difficult for younger players to receive the...

Buy for the game, not for the plastic.

Strengths: The Link Crossbos game is quite good and worth twenty bucks.

Weakness: The Zapper itself is impractical.

The Zapper is a plastic holster for your remote and nunchuck. It's suppsoed to simulate teh light gun experience. but I find it's complettely impractical. Its ergionomics aren'tsound and it seems restrictive in control access. Much better too just use the remote and nunchuck without it. However, Links Crossbos is worth $15-420 bucks. It's a fun little shooter that you cna play again and again. So...

The lightgun is back!

Strengths: good build, comes with Links Crossbow training, cheap

Weakness: it's just a piece of plastic, design is awkward if you're used to the guncon

The Wii Zapper is actually pretty decent, although it's hold in a tommy gun style way. I'd prefer it if it was built like a pistol, but it still does the job. Since the Wii controller already acts a pointer, Nintendo only needed to make a plastic shell to create a lightgun experience. This allows for a very inexpensive product. It also comes with a free game which is suprisingly very fun. For...

Wii Zapper

Strengths: Includes a game. Helps with aiming and endurance for playing shooting type games.

Weakness: none

I enjoy shooting games but my spouse does not. She never had the aim or endurance to play Alien Syndrone with me. After a few days with the game that came with this product, I found her playing Alien Syndrone when I returned from workone day.

A Must for Shooter Games

Strengths: A good solution for turning your controller into a gun.

Weakness: It often seems like you're aiming at the Wii Sensor Bar (and not the bad guys on the screen).

This device is a must if you play shooter games like Resident Evil. It turns the controller/nunchuck combination into a functional gun-like device. My only gripe is probably a result of the limitations of the Wii system itself...unlike the guns of older game systems (like the Zapper Gun for the NES), which relied on the intrinsic workings of old CRT TVs, this device must rely on the sensor bar....

Good game, so-so accessory

Strengths: Link's training game, makes aiming easier

Weakness: Hard to attach nunchuck, awkward for younger children

First off, the game is great. You can play solo or multiplayer and it has plenty of replayability if you are into target shooting type games. About the zapper itself I have mixed feelings. I think it is much easier to aim and shoot with it than using the remote and nunchuck separately. My older children (15 & 9) have the same opinion but younger ones (6 & 4) have a really hard time controlling...

A must addition to your Wii. It improves gameplay,...

Strengths: Good quality, fits remote and nunchuk well while hiding the cords. Lightweight but not too light. Includes free game.

Weakness: None that I have noticed. Maybe a little small if you have large hands and I wouldn't mind if there was to reduce the sensitivity of the target icon a bit (it moves very quickly to the zapper's motion).

I purchased this to use as a gun for some of my wii games. I've seen some of the cheaper versions available so wasn't expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good weight, was easy to assemble and obviously doesn't have the same problem that most cheaper guns have (that it uses the Z button as the trigger instead of the B button. I got it for $19.99 at amazon and it came with a...

Zapper

Strengths: Lack of competition for the product

Weakness: hooking up the nunchuk to the console

At $25 and including Link's Crossbow the Wii Zapper is a good deal for any Wii Console owner. However, the only drawback to the the accessory is the fact that it is almost impossible to wrap tuck in the nunchuk cord into the accessory. Once you do get going you will enjoy three game styles: target shooting, defender and ranger.

Great game, crappy accessory

Strengths: The included Zelda target practice game is worth $20 by itself

Weakness: The plastic accessory is not worth it

If you are going to get this, get it for the game, not the piece of plastic. After using it the first time, I never bothered with it after that. The Wii-Zapper games are designed to be quick gaming sessions, to be played in short bursts. Installing the remote and nunchuck in the zapper is a pain and takes away from the quick pick up nature of the games. The Zelda game on the other hand,...

Wii Zapper

Strengths: Includes one game

Weakness: Awkward to use Nunchuck

For $19.99, the Wii Zapper is not a bad deal. The package includes a training game which is pretty fun. I'm looking forward to more games being released with Zapper Compatibility; however, I do have a couple complaints. The Nunchuck is in a fixed position. At times, I find it awkward to hold. Also, it would be nice if they had another package without they included game, for a lower price. I'm...

Nintendo Wii Zapper

THE GOOD: Inexpensive Wii accessory that brings new life to shooting games; includes Links Crossbow Training. THE BAD: Doesnt come with Wiimote or Nunchuk; first round of supporting games arent blockbusters. THE BOTTOM LINE: While it isnt revolutionary, the Wii Zapper is a great Wii accessory--and for the price, you really are getting an excellent value.
