APC "Green" UPSStrengths: Can save electricity; auto-shutdown feature Weakness: Big footprint - can't stack on side We have multiple computers in our house, and most of them go into standby when not in use. While this does save electricity versus leaving them on all the time, it's still not zero. I have UPS's on all the computers to prevent any issues with surges on our power, which happens alot in southern California. Auto shutdown saves money & electricityStrengths: Saves electricity. 5 Battery Backup outlets & 5 surge protected outlets. Weakness: Can not think of any. APC's "Green" UPC operates on less electricity than comparable units. The master outlet turns of 3 surge protected outlets so printers. monitors are not on standby extending their life. Comes with auto shutdown software and a USB cable to shutdown when user is not home. Same price as conventional unit.

good UPS with high power 450 Watts
Strengths: Lightest UPS with 450 Watts power. Easy to hook up. Using it for my new 32-inch LCD TV. Has four widely-spaced outlets, very convenient. Also includes protection for phone, fax and modem.
Weakness: Not found any yet.
I bought this UPS because of its great price and its APC brand. This is the best UPS I ever have in terms of price/performance. Its power is also enough for my 42-inch plasma TV which needs ~400-Watt input.
