Excellent PDA!!!!Strengths: Huge VGA screen; attractive looking; excellent graphics; superfast processor; Multimedia workhouse -- plays MP3s, Movies, games, etc.; Ability to add navigation system and other peripherals Weakness: won't replace your portable DVD player or PSP/GB; memory cards (CF or SD) can be costly for more memory (1 GB or more) I love this thing--I use it for work as a medical professional and and for play. I listen to my MP3s on it, watch movies, look at pics and play games. Only problem is you'll have to dish out more money for the extra memory and software to run some those multimedia applications. Games are not quite up to par in comparision to a PSP or even a GB Advanced but fun none the less. I've used it at the...

Dell v50xStrengths: fast, reliable, supports BT and wifi, expansion slots for SD and CF Weakness: Although it is not a problem so far, I would suggest to add more RAM onboard for that power... I had Sony Clie before and this is far more powerful (and useful) than palm. In fact I only could read books and store my contacts on Clie. Now I can browse internet, use my dell as tape recorder (the quality of voice recording is very good!), GPS navigation system plus all the same things I did on Clie. I would definitely recommend this product to everybody interesting in a real tool rather than...

Very Good PDAStrengths: Excellent (and large) screen, wireless capabilities, SD and CF readers Weakness: Not much included software, a bit bulky Overall, this is a very good PDA. The screen looks good (remember to use your protectors), and all the programs I use have run smoothly as far. Syncing up to your PC is really easy. Battery life has not been much of an issue for me...maybe I don't use it enough.

Dell Axim X50v PDAStrengths: Powerful and Stylish. Excellent VGA screen. Compact Flash Slot. Weakness: Battery life could have been longer. This is my first PDA ever. It looks stylish, although a bit bulky. I really love it. Equipped with Wifi and Bluetooth, it is convenient to connected to the internet. The VGA screen looks beautiful and must be good for game playing. Highly recommended.

Dell Axim X50v PDAStrengths: Definitelly the screen, the processor, and the large amount of user-accesible built-in storage Weakness: For some reason Dell decided to remove the up-down side button. This was really handy in other models for scrolling pages and mapping to volume up-down in Media Player. Overall this is an outstanding machine. For the price nothing comes close. The screen is really what sets it appart, really crisp, great color. I have had some sporadic stability issues where I've had to force a soft reset. The directional controller is a bit small but you get used to it.

Dell Axim X50v PDAStrengths: Unbelievable VGA Screen, Fast 624 MHz processor, SD & CF Memory Slots, Reasonable Size, Replaceable Battery, Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and Lock Switch. Weakness: Size is not the most compact, but I didn't expect smaller for all these features and functionality. This is the 5th PDA that I have owned. It's predecessor's include 3 Palm devices, an iPAQ 3950 with Pocket PC 2002 which was a great PDA and now this Dell AXIM X50v. It is head and shoulders over anything else I have owned. The VGA screen is bright, crisp, and has great color. I have used Pocket-DVD Studio to rip DVD's down to memory chip size and WOW it is great. This unit has it all. The Lock...

Dell Axim X50v PDAStrengths: It is the best choice to buy it if you want a powerful display and high speed CPU for 3D gaming, or stonger wireless for internet connection, or a quality playback for video. Weakness: The 64 MB RAM is not enough, and the bettery ran out quickly while using it as a GPS navigator. The x50v I bought from DELL was only $340 with a promotion. It comes with 1-Year of Dell's service and support and Limited Warranty, 1-Year of Next Business Day Advanced Exchange Service, and an extra bettery. I used many PDAs, and this is the best one I've had. Since it comes with many useful software and the Integrated CompactFlash Type II and Secure Digital/SDIO Now!/MMC card slots provide...

Dell Axim X50v PDAStrengths: Light, faaaast, sleek. Weakness: None This is an awesome buy if you want MP3, Video, and Schedule all in one. The video quality playback is excellent, so is the MP3. The only downsize about this product is the speaker, but once you plug in the headphone. It's blasting. It is not the sound card, it is because of the poor built-in speaker. I highly recommend it.

Dell Axim x50v review
The Axim X50v blends digital entertainment with productivity in a well-rounded package that's excellent value for money - as long as you can get on with the fiddly navigation controller and middling battery life. Top

Dell Axim X50v Pocket PC Review
If you're looking for an highly expandable Pocket PC with integrated wireless, the Dell Axim X50 should be on your short list. The X50 models have standard QVGA transflective color displays, both a CF slot and an SD slot supporting SDIO, speedy Intel XScale processors and run the latest Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition OS.

TopAdvertisement

Dell Axim X50v PDA
Strengths: nice screen, os is great
Weakness: battery life too short, constant recharging. very little software for this unit
Mine did not work from day one and had to serviced over and over. By the time I realized that I had a lemon, DELL refused to let me upgrade to the X51v or replace it, they would just repair it. it's sitting next to my desk, just as dead as the day I bought it. DELL SUCKS!
