verabtim 8x best @ 4x dvd9Strengths: no coaster Weakness: 8x burn quality I have used just the whole 15 disc and no coaster with decent write quality on 4x speed setting. with 8x speed using liteon shm-165-p6s, it's readable with all of my dvd drives which include benq1620 and nec 3520, but it has a slight problem when the layer is switched. recommended

Verbatim DVD+R DL 8X MISStrengths: -I have never had a MADE IN SINGAPORE disc not burn properly. -Protective layer Weakness: -They cost more but are well worth it. -Verbatim has since moved to INDIA were production has gone down hill but they will almost certainly move back to Singapore or improve quality soon take my word for it and don't waste your time/money. TDK, MEMOREX, SONY, RITEK, none of these brands even compare to the quality of burn, storage and reliability Verbatim MIS has. I have burned over 100 verbatim DL disc on my new build and received zero coasters. You CAN find these 8.5 gig disc's for around $1.60 each which is great security of mind for the next 8 years+.
