One of the Best UPS Products for Home/ Small...
Strengths: Easy installation (unit and software), flawless performance during a full power outage, on-board RJ45 surge protection
Weakness: 650VA battery capacity limits backup to desktop for longer time operation during full power outage (monitors and peripherals will dramatically cut down the backup time if connected)
I purchased two APC BE650G UPSs and connected them to two desktops: a Dell Inspiron 530 (Intel Quad Core 6600/ 3 HDD/ Vista 32 bit) and a Dell Vostro 460 (Intel Core i5 2400/ 1 HDD/ Win7 64 bit). Only the desktops are connected to the battery backup outlets with the APC PowerChute software (automatic shutdown software) installed and set to shut down the system with 8 minutes of battery time...
