AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core Processor

Strengths: Awesome processor!!! Great Overclocking capabilities! Great price, now even lower priced since I purchased it 3 months ago.

Weakness: None that I can think of!

This is an awesome processor, especially if you're interested in one that allows you to overclock it. The CPU/FSB multiplier is unlocked therefore I was able to overclock this processor up to about 3.0GHz without needing to increase the voltage. I thought about going a little higher since my CPU is water cooled by a Koolance CPU-340 CPU Block, but my goal was to reach 3.0GHz. I will try to push...

AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core Processor

Strengths: The AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core Processor runs 3.5 times faster.

Weakness: none that I can see.

The AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core Processor has a better price per performance index over Intel. I use my PC to do circuit simulation and Autocad design and have used AMD products for at least 25 years. One thing that I wished they would do is to tell you that a heat sink came with the processor.

AMD Phenom 9850

Strengths: Very Overclockable, Quad Core, Black Edition

Weakness: None

The Phenom 9850 is another great CPU from AMD. This quad-core processor is the Black Edition and the multiplier is unlocked. This results in great potential for overclocking. Use a good CPU cooler and go crazy with this processor.

AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition

Introduced with the rest of the 2008 Phenom line-up, the AMD Phenom X4 9850 BE (Black Edition) hit a new clock speed high. With the last top-of-the-line 9600 set at only 2.3GHz, this step was considered AMDs number one obstacle to become competitive against Intels offerings. Sadly, hurtling this obstacle came at a price of energy efficiency and thermal output. With a TDP of 125W, the 9850 is just...

AMD Phenom X4 9850 Processor Review - B3 Stepping

When the AMD Phenom series of processors launched back on November 19th, 2007 no one could have expected just how rough things were about to get for AMD. The four new AMD Phenom X4 processors that AMD is...
