Read all reviews before buying.

Strengths: Cheap, easy to use, good sound with factory headphones, lots of memory

Weakness: VERY BUGGY, slow startup, often has to be reset, Hard drive finally died completely

I owned this player for two months before it died. It was a small strong device that i would have enjoyed had it not failed. The battery life was absolutely horrible, i don't think i ever got the advertised 8 hours. transfer using WMP and drag-and-drop was quick, i didn't bother with Napster, unfortunately that was the only way to put permanent Playlists onto the HDD. Screen was bright yet small...

Samsung yepp Micro HDD Jukebox MP3 Player

Strengths: Color screen beats all the other mp3 players.

Weakness: The battery life isn't satisfying. For me, it lasted between 2-4 hours which is annoying because I had to recharge it often. The good part is the recharge time is not significantly long.

On the whole the player is worth the money you paid for it. You get what you pay for. 65k screen is bright but the display is a lil smaller than satisfactory.

So far, the best bang for the buck (if you get a...

Strengths: Very small/portable, vibrant color screen, excellent sound quality, aesthically pleasing layout & look, it doesn't have an Apple on it

Weakness: Boot-up/shutdown is a little slow, slight lag on controls, but nothing really bothersome to me

Just got this player on clearance at Target for dirt cheap. I'd been looking for a larger capacity MP3 player for a while and just can't stomach paying full pop for a iPod, so looked at the iRiver H10 , Toshiba Gigabeat and Creative Zen lineups. Saw the Samsung YH-820MC with the big read sticker on it at Target so thought I'd take a chance. So far, SO GOOD! I read all the reviews and heard all...

Samsung yepp Micro HDD Jukebox MP3 Player

Strengths: Small compact size, color screen, voice recorder.

Weakness: Screen too small for pictures, unable to creat playlist from unit

Nice small unit. Hold all my music with space left over. Loading music from windows media player is simple. This unit can record directly from cd player w/o a need for computer, but you are not able to change song title. I have many single songs, but unable to create new playlists from the unit. The firmware is updateable, I would like Samsung add create playlist feature to the unit. Sound...

Samsung yepp Micro HDD Jukebox MP3 Player

Strengths: Style; size; features; durability.

Weakness: Slow; no accessories; buggy; battery life.

Great specs and features don't necessarily make a great MP3 player. Contrary to one review you do not need Napster to transfer songs. WMP works great, and if you unhide the folders on the device you can even drag and drop song files, which is the fastest way to add files to the device. But the player has locked up a couple times and its reaction time when you push a button is very slow. The color...

yh 820

Strengths: Look, color screen, sound

Weakness: Lowest of the low battery life, crashes occasonally, slow slow startup and shutdown.

I bought a refurbed one of these before checking out the reviews. During the week before it arrived I did read plenty reviews. I thought that I'd have to give it away to someone for a Christmas present because it's was viewed so disfavorably. Bottom line: it's has its issues but it still has plenty of value. Main issues: mostly what everyone mentions. Battery life is nothing close to eight hours,...

Good but the battery

Strengths: 5 GB, price

Weakness: Battery, software

It would be great if battery lifetime were longer. If you load songs up to teh maximum capacity it can get battery low in less than one hour. Software provided is also horrible.

Returned this item

Strengths: Sound quality (nice volume for this type of device); easy navigation.

Weakness: Napster, schmapster; horrible pc-device interface; limited EQ choices.

Unlike others in this august group, I could not figure out how to circumvent the Napster software that Sammie says must be used to upload songs to device. Napster software advised me to upgrade device firmware, which took two tries and one phone call to Sammie. Then Napster software refused to load; I had to reinstall. THEN, software said that some of my files were damaged/improper MP3s. Later, I...

Excellent all around Mp3 player with more than...

Strengths: Plenty of space, intuitive UI, Small

Weakness: Somewhat slow interface, proprietary battery

Love this thing! Bought it a Target for a song, and it's worth eveyr penny! Plenty of sound, gets loud enough, and even room for your playlist. The only things that may bother you are the laggy controls and the proprietary battery. It's no big deal to me, I charge it through the usb cable and I'm on my way. As for the lag, it's only if you're switching songs, it's not bothersome at all. It's...
