Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: VERY quiet; speedy and uses SATA interface. Weakness: May not have a high enough capacity for some users. A 120GB drive isn't as big as it used to be. After my experience with this drive, I’ve equipped out other two computers with Seagate drives. They’re fast, deathly silent, and blow away the clunky Western Digital drives I’ve used previously. After switching out my WD drive, I didn’t think this one was working; no hard drive grunts at startup. The 8mb cache and 7200 RPM speed make a noticeable difference. The only reason not to get...

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: Speed, Price, Low Noise Level, Reliable Weakness: Haven't found any so far... This is the second of these drives that I have bought, I was so pleased with the first that I actively sought out an identical drive. I've been very happy with it so far.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: I've had a Seagate drive before, loved the speed. Upgraded to the 120, love this one more, very fast easy to install. I had a seagate 40 gig hard drive. Upgraded to the 120, very fast. The drive was very easy to install. I'd tell anyone looking to buy to get his bericuda drive it's awesome.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: Quiet, low temperature, and fast - "Seagate Quality" Weakness: It is a little on the pricey end of the spectrum and slow to come down, but in this case you definitely get what you pay for. This is the second one of these I have bought. I set up a RAID 0 configuration, and easily wrote uncompressed video (DV-NTSC) and audio with only 256MB of ram (no buffer needed). I am running a liquid cooled system with hardly any dB noise, and I cannot hear even a whisper click from the drives. I have another SATA drive from WDC, and there is no comparison. Seagate wins hands down, as always.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: Very quiet. Very Fast. Convenient SATA format. Weakness: VERY difficult to have as a primary hard drive if you arn't installing Windows XP SP1. If you don't have windows XP SP1, I wouldn't suggest using this hard drive as a primary drive. I got this hard drive in order to have a quiet drive for a small form factor system I am building. I looked for a SATA drive in order to minimize the clutter in the small case and improve air flow. The only problem was the difficulty in installing this hard drive as my primary drive for Windows XP. Be sure your hard drive has good support of SATA and you know what you need!

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: VERY CHEAP!!! Serial ATA is very easy to use Weakness: None that I am aware of yet. The 7200 rpm speed is very functional and is great, the 8meg of cache makes it seem like i'm using a much smaller drive. For the price (49.99 after rebate) you can't get a much better hard drive. I am very happy in my decision to buy this and hope it continues to provide me with performance.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...Strengths: Serial ATA is the best. Quiet, fast. Weakness: Seagate Warranty. Thirteen months after purchase, this drive developed bad sectors. Not a big deal except my backup was Norton Ghost so the reload would not capture all registry files. When I went to Seagate to get a replacement drive, they said the warranty was only one year. My new WD 160 SATA-150 has a three-year warranty. It runs just as fast and is just as quiet as the Seagate. Obviously, this is my last...

Seagate Barracuda 120gb SATA @ 7200rpm & 8mb cacheStrengths: Product reputation for reliablity and customer service. Although this HDD has not been used yet I do have other drives of this model which have worked well, consistently show good to great marks on te Weakness: None so far. I bought this drive because of the price, about $50 for a Seagate Barracuda 120 GB (OEM) delivered. I will use it to build a pc for my nephew, which will cost under $300 using Pricegrabber to find geat deals for almost all the parts. That includes Vista Home Basic (OEM), not the upgrade, for $75, a Biostar mb for about $60, and an Nvidia 7300 256mb PCIE video card for about $70. Pricegrabber is a...

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120 GB Internal Hard Drive...
Strengths: Quiet operation, incredibly fast, excellent manufacturers warantee.
Weakness: Slightly more expensive per GB compared to Maxtor/Western Digital drives.
IF you're thinking about buying a serial ata hard drive, I would highly recommend buying a seagate drive. I used to be a huge fan of western digital drives, but since using 2 80 GB Seagate drives, I have not gone back. The reason seagate provides a long warantee on their products is because they will last much longer than the guarantee that they give. They make extremely high quality products and...
