Best cooler for the price!
Strengths: Great cooling, can mount on AMD CPUs in any direction (blowing out the back, blowing up thru top exhaust fans, whatever; many coolers for AMD mount in one direction), extra clips for 2nd fan, PRICE!
Weakness: installation is a bit cumbersome, instructions are OK but the typeface is TINY and hard to read
I run this cooler on an AMD PhenomII X4 955BE and NEVER get load temps over 45c. Heavy gaming sessions usually heat the CPU to about 41-42c; it only hits 44-45c when running a CPU stress test (Prime, OCCT, etc). The stock AMD cooler idled at about 40c, and maxed out at about 68c under heavy load (OCCT, Prime) and hit about 60c during gaming sessions. So the Hyper212+ is about 20c cooler than the...
