ASUS P5Q Deluxe

Strengths: Full featured P45 motherboard; tons of SATA ports

Weakness: No reset/power button on back-panel connector; need to download latest BIOS; RAM compatibility issues

I've used ASUS motherboards, so decided to get the latest and greatest. I've had this for about 2-months now, and have been quite happy. Very solid, once all the latest drivers & BIOS are downloaded and installed. Don't bother with the drivers on the CD, go directly to the ASUS or Intel site. I wish the SATA ports were aligned a bit better, as they are hard to get to once a large video card is...

Asus P5Q-Deluxe is a solid A+

Strengths: Fast P45 performance, exceptional stability and voltage control.

Weakness: Price

I've been running Intel Core2Quad Q9450 on this Asus P5Q-Deluxe motherboard for about 2 months. I've overclocked the P45 FSB up to 450mhz and the board has performed supremely well. There's minor vCore drop which is as expected, but Asus provided a Load Line Calibration that mostly eliminates the vCore problem. The 16phase power is working out very well, and keeps my system ultra stable. I have...

ASUS P5Q Deluxe: Excellent Motherboard at a Great...

Strengths: Amazing BIOS. Gives enthusiast options to mainstream. Great overclocking capabilities Good with 45nm Quad Core Excellent power consumption

Weakness: One blocked SATA with large graphics cards (but really not a big deal) ExpressGate is kind of worthless

I have had this motherboard since two weeks after it was released. It continues to get better and better with each BIOS revision. I would highly recommend this to people who are hobbiest overclockers or people looking for the best bang for your buck. The board layout is great, clearance around the CPU for large aftermarket coolers is good, and chipset cooling is decent as well. Crossfire works...

Excellent motherboard

Strengths: 1. The ports are all conveniently located that makes setup a breeze. 2. Comes with a set of nice software that monitors fan speed, CPU usage etc. 3. Also comes with an easy overclock software.

Weakness: Does not support SLI. However, supports ATI crossfire.

Overall a nice motherboard. You may have to shop around between a few web retailers to get the best price. The copper heatspreaders look cool on the board (Asus calls that fanless cooling).

P5Q Deluxe Motherboard

Strengths: First rate for Home Theater

Weakness: None

P5Q Deluxe Motherboard I tried to stay away from the Asus board after reading the nightmares that most reviewers had noting compatibility and bios nightmares. As an average to advanced user, I figured it was time to tackle a new HTPC and this board came up repeatedly. I had read that the Intel chipset was far superior than the Nvidia (650, 680, 780 or 790) in that regard and also narrowed my...

Asus nightmare - Never again

Strengths: Nice packaging box

Weakness: POOR product & MEDIOCRE Support = Waste of time and money

PRODUCT: This instable motherboard was incapable to turn off the CPU fan when the PC was completly off. Additionaly, this board took the PSU out which has to be replaced. SUPPORT: Their support representatives barely read the failure description and fake to answer. You are on your own to perform the trouble shooting. Then, their RMA service is even worst

The best motherboard with a P45 chip out there!

Strengths: Very good cooling and excellent overclocking. Can run 4x1gb sticks at 1200 Mhz.

Weakness: The motherboard has two PCI-E 16X slots, but both go down to 8x if run in crossfire X. Bad technical support.

I have been using it for several months and I haven't had any issues. My rig:CPU:E6850 3.8Ghz/MOBO: P5Q Dlx/ 4x1OCZ Reaper HPC1180/GPU: 9800 gx2/HDD:WD Raptor X/PSU:Antec Quattro 850/Case:Thermaltake Armor
