Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Impressive processor.

Weakness: None

Express great price and surprising capacities of overclock. Intel perfectly works to me stable to 3,367 mhz with the standard ventilator that it brings the processor. And at that speed of overclock, the temperature was only of 42ºC, I made verifications until with a sounding. The used motherboards, one Gigabyte Ga8IK1100 2 Rev and one Asus P4P800 Deluxe. I DID NOT HAVE TO TOUCH THE VOLTAGE OF...

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: 800Mhz FSB, stablity, and reliablity

Weakness: Non that I've found

I set this up with the abit IC7-Max3 MoBo, and it's the best system I have ever had. It wasn't a pain to set up, and I've had no problems with it.

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Outstanding performance, solid, stable, top-notch reliability.

Weakness: None

I have been buying, modding, and building PC systems for about 6 years now and I was skeptical about paying what I thought was "for the name Intel", now I am convinced and telling fellow PC modders and builders to go with Intel P4's or go home! I love the fact that now I know I don't have to worry about upgrading anytime soon either, using the Intel Desktop Control Center even shows that I hardly...

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: 800Mhz FSB, Hyperthreading, Overclockability, Price

Weakness: None

I've had this chip in my computer for the last two months and it is blazing fast. It does circles around my Pentium 4 2.0Ghz 400Mhz FSB Laptop. Hyperthreading is definitely the way to go. Skip the 400/533 FSB chips, because they can't touch the performance of the 800's for the money. They are perfect for high intense gaming and are extremely stable. One think to note however, if you need to...

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Hyper-Threading 800mhz FSB

Weakness: Multipliers are locked

The model C Pentium 4s are absolutely amazing. Especially, the 2.4ghz and 2.6ghz because they often can be overclocked to 3.2ghz to around 3.6ghz. I bought the 2.4C and clocked it to 3.6ghz with the MSI Neo2 board. It ran amazing cool with the right copper heatsink. Unlike the AMD athlons, the P4's don't require more than 1.7v to hit the high overclock speeds which is a major reason why they run...

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Hyper-threading support Fast 800MHZ bus Price

Weakness: Cooling

This is a great processor for the price. 800MHZ Bus provides ample speed for gaming and software that utilizes a lot of processor power. The only drawback I have seen thus far is the stock fan it ships with. I would use a fan and heat sink from a third party vendor to keep temperature at ideal level. My processor does not over-clock with the stock fan but it is pushing its limit.

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Meet my expectation, probably yours too.

Weakness: None.

Supporting hyper-threading technology, this is one of the best valued CPU around. If you are looking for a affordable gaming machine, this CPU will do the job.

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Excellent processor. This is the slowest of the P4 Hyper Threading processors. Very impressed by the speed and reliabliltiy. Has taken everything we sent its way. Runs cool at 2.4mhz.

Weakness: None

Great product. Purchased as retail package. Fast with the 800mhz FSB, this processor will handle anything I will throw at it. Watch out for the P4 2.4 processor without HT, for $10 or $20 more you can have HT and set yourself up for future software development. Setup includes, Asus P4S800 MB, 512MB Kingston DDR-SDRAM, chaintech NVIDIA GForce FX 5200 w/128MB. Love it.

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Price, includes CPU fan, HT. Runs cool, highest temp I got so far is 51C running pc games.

Weakness: None, except removing the thermal tape from the CPU fan to apply Arctic Silver

I chose the Intel 2.4C w/HT even though the 2.8 w/HT was about $20 more because I knew 400MHz isn't really gonna make a difference, my last PC was a 500MHz P3. Figured I could just overclock it but don't think I need to because 2.4GHz is fast enough. Decent price for a good chip.

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.40 GHz Processor

Strengths: Fast, overclocking.

Weakness: none

Great processor. When paired up with my ASUS P4P800, runs great. Cool, runs at about 95 degrees F average. Using stock CPU cooler, overclocked 10 percent, and it still only ran at 98 degrees F. No real need to overclock however, graphics intense games have no problems running with my system at stock CPU speed.
