My experience with WD’s 300 and 600 Gig...
Strengths: Nice packaging, Great marketing.
Weakness: What’s inside the packaging.
I first purchased a 300 Gig drive in July 2011; it developed bad sectors and was replaced via RMA within three months.I purchased two 600 Gig drives in October 2011; one developed bad sectors and was replaced via RMA within a month.In December 2011, both 600 Gig drives developed bad sectors.My failure rate on my three drives is 133%. WD is giving me a hassle about requesting a refund on two 600...
