This motherboard is awesome. This...
Strengths: Ease of installation and setup, manuals were easy to read and follow, and packaging was excellent.
Weakness: IDE connectors were difficult to reach once the motherboard was installed into the case. Tech support website and knowledge base was not not very helpful in troubleshooting.
This motherboard is awesome. This was my first adventure at building my own brand spanking new machine. I am using it with an Intel Pentium 4 - 2.60GHz Processor with 800MHz FSB and 1GB of PC3200 DDR RAM. After reading many magazine and online reviews of this board I found it on pricegrabber.com and bought it online much cheaper than if I would have purchased locally at a retail outlet. This...

Strengths: ABIT Quality, Tons of Features, Overclockability, Support for up to 4 SATA Drives
Weakness: IDE Connectors could be in a better spot(located in lower right corner of board)
I've had this board for about 2 months now and it is rock solid! I've been able to OC my P4 3.2 to 3.85Ghz with the greatest of ease. The built in 5.1 audio and Digital IO is great for multimedia fanatics. It has 4 DDR slots and will support 4 Gigs of ram. Active cooling on the NorthBridge is also a bonus over other motherboards such as the ASUS P4P800. If your a gamer, grab this board, any...

I've built two systems now with...
Strengths: Very fast and reliable, with just about every feature you could want in a motherboard
Weakness: (1) The IDE connectors are not very conveniently located; (2) The ATX shield included with the motherboard is a little flimsy
I've built two systems now with the Abit IC7-G and have been startled by the screaming performance of this board, especially when mated with a fast processor and memory (I use Intel's Pentium 4 3.2C and the Corsair TWINX10243200C2PT memory modules). Abit's manual is very straightforward for a relative novice like myself, and installation was pretty easy... no need to set jumpers to get this baby...

Strengths: Very good built-in audio. Multiple USB inputs, firewire. SATA for hard drives.
Weakness: None, after replacement.
I have owned this board for over a year. After several months, the purchased board failed. Abit replaced with little delay. I think the system chipset wasn't cooled properly. The replacement had a chipset fan much bigger, than the first board. Another review comments on upgrading problems. I have replaced the video three times, increased the RAM and changed the CPU. Changed the board to a new...

Strengths: Overclock-ability. Stability. Reliability
Weakness: Serial ATA compatibility within BIOS
I've been a loyal ABIT customer for the past eight years. I previously owned an ABIT BH-6 mobo. I was really happy with my last ABIT board, in which I was able to overclock my PII 300A celeron to 450 MHZ, then upgrade to a PIII 600 a couple years later. It was a stable motherboard. The IC7-G is no exception. I've been pleased with its stability but I haven't yet overclocked it. The only issues...
